Post 2: Welp. Its official: Curly Girls Rock!
But chances are that if you’re reading this, you definitely already knew that. Last night curls—not to mention locs, twists, bantus, updos, and BAAs—were out in full force in Atlanta at the Curly Girls Rock event. It was a phenomenal event to kick off the weekend natural hair festivities, bringing together over 500 people together with lots of natural love!

Attendees got to mingle, get their nails done, be made over by expert make-up artists, and win awesome giveaways from sponsors. Haute hair and hair-lebrities were the starlettes of the evening and it was definitely one of those events where you leave with your cheeks hurting because you are are smiling non-stop!

My favorite highlight of the evening had to be my conversation with John. “Who is John?” you must be wondering. Trust me, I was too. Allow me to share:
Cassadie: So….are you here with a hair company?
John: No.
Cassadie: Girlfriend?
John: Nope.
Cassadie: Wife?
John: Negative.
Cassadie: [blank stare followed by awkward silence that transitions into a shoulder shrug].
John: Well, I just LOVE natural hair. I’m so sick of all the weaves out there. Natural hair is beautiful and I just wanted to come here to support!
Me: [massive smile]. Awesome.
Am I right or am I right???? JOHN! FTW!!!! What is there not to love about his natural love!?
All in all, a wonderful evening. Huge props to Alexis of Lexi with the Curls, Adrienne of MeMyHair&TheCity, and Farrah of MahoganyKnots for organizing the event. I’d love to stay and chat, but we’ve got a hair show to get to! More updates from the World Natural Hair Show to come!
