Wonder Curl Product Review

I’m on a small business HIGH right now. Like, seriously. These companies stand up to (and in some cases completely knock down”> some of my drug store and beauty supply favorites, easily. Not only do I feel like I’m getting better quality ingredients, I feel better about my Product Junkie tendencies because well, my habit is fueling some good quality folks and their good quality products.

Like Wonder Curl.

Founded by Scarlett Rocourt, the Wonder Curl line was created out of sheer frustration with what was available to help give her hair the look she wanted. After growing tired of piling product upon product upon product to achieve a decent wash n’ go, she began exploring and creating her own products that were easy to use, and would streamline the styling process. After months of research, trial, and error, Wonder Curl was born.

Review

I must say, I absolutely ADORE Get Set Hair Jelly. When I tell you that I got 4 day hair that looked practically the same EVERY day, I mean it. And that was in spite of working out, putting hair in a bun, clipping it up, tossing it around, and otherwise doing things that would generally “disturb” curls. Not with this stuff. No wonder why it’s called Wonder Curl! The one challenge for me was the fragrance. Although it is not overbearing or incredibly strong, I am going through a season of allergy sensitivities and the gentle floral perfume smell got to me. If GSHJ was available with an unscented option….

Performance

I really enjoyed the Butter Than Love Hair Pudding. When I first saw it, I thought it looked more like a white flan, lol. But when I applied it to my hair, I realized that it was rich, creamy, and showed my hair major love. I was so appreciative that this product was fragrance-free. Butter Than Love Hair Pudding makes a great base for styling, and a great sealing product. Added bonus: it’s also a pretty solid curl definer in its own right.
