Willow Smith debuts her new green hair color on her Instagram account.Okay, so when 11-year-old Willow Smith big chopped and dyed her hair platinum blonde, my first reaction was, “Cool!”
I thought it was a liberating move, a brave move, and in the face of all the pastel and super blonde hair color trends this spring, it only seemed natural that a little girl who has a music video with Nicki Minaj, the queen of hair color randomness, would follow the pop culture and celebrity trends.
But only a few weeks later, as I peruse Google for hair updates from over the weekend (there are SO many Romney references, ugh!”>, it comes to my attention that little Ms. Willow Smith has now dyed her hair GREEN.
Now, my idea of big chopping is to ensure that you regrow your hair healthy — and two major dye jobs in a span of a month definitely isn’t keeping anyone’s hair healthy. Not to mention, the girl is 11! I wasn’t allowed to dye my hair until I was 15, and in my opinion, that was still too young!
I don’t know what the family dynamics are over in the Pinkett-Smith household, but something seems to be going asunder, besides their marriage, I mean!
