You know that feeling you get when you watch those over-the-top commercials for fancy chocolate? We call it desire.
There is a plethora of beauty products that look, taste and smell like desserts on the market today. The industry has tuned into the fact that when it comes to choosing between products, an irresistible candy scent can certainly sweeten up the deal.
As a result we have whipped cream mousses, chocolate scented conditioners, and nourishing smoothies and styling souffles. So this Valentine’s Day don’t forget to pamper your curls with a few sweet treats!
Pudding
Give your hair a serving of pudding with Darcy’s Botanicals Organic Coconut & Aloe Moisture Pudding, which is ideal as a setting lotion for multiple styles including twists, locs, afros, and braids. It can also be used sparingly on looser curls. In addition, it uses only food-grade preservatives, for the ingredient conscious curly girl!
Oyin Handmade’s Whipped Pudding is a treat for both your hair and your skin. It can either be used to add moisture to parched curls, or apply it to dry skin in the winter time for extra protection.

Natural Sweeteners
Many natural product lines use actual oils and extracts that create amazingly sweet scents.
Go for Carol’s Daughter Chocolat Smoothing Conditioner with moisturizing coconut oil and real cacao extract, or smell like a caramel delight with Camille Rose Naturals Caramel CoWash Cleansing Conditioner, which is “drizzled with caramel extracts” and is ideal for hair types 3B to 4C.
Smell delicious all day long with Curl Junkie Hibiscus & Banana Honey Butta Leave-In Conditioner, which provides moisture and light hold.

Another great confectionary product from Carol’s Daughter is their Black Vanilla Hair Smoothie. With vanilla and coconut, as well as many natural oils and butters, this smoothie can be used on damp tresses in order to detangle and add some weight to hair.
And Naturally curly veterans will already be familiar with crowd favorite SheaMoisture Organic Coconut & Hibiscus Curl Enhancing Smoothie. If you haven’t yet tried this smoothie on your curls, you can do so with the confidence that the NaturallyCurly community has voted it their favorite styling cream.

With natural ingredients such as shea butter and sweet almond oil, this soufflè is recommended to protect hair from both harsh winter and summer weather. Some fans of this product even use it as a gel replacement.

Whipped Cream
Top off your arsenal of dessert-like products with CURLS Whipped Cream! This heavy hair cream is especially great for those transitioning to natural styles because it softens and defines. This vanilla-scented product can be used after or in replacement of a leave-in and can even be sealed with castor oil.
Another way to get your dose of sugar is with Bed Head Candy Fixations Mega Whip Whipped Marshmallow Texturizer, which can be used on both wet and dry hair. This product offers flexible hold and provides definition and texture, leaving a matte finish.
Ouidad Whipped Curls Conditioner & Styling Primer won the Editors’ Choice pick last year for its innovative formula. It can be used as either a primer, a leave-in conditioner, or a rinse out conditioner.

Take the Cake
Camille Rose Naturals Curlaide Moisture Butter takes the cake for us when it comes to scents. It smells like actual cake batter and takes a lot of self control not to eat this stuff. This product is best suited to Type 4 coils with medium to thick strands, but the smell alone is reason enough to try this product.
