With Women’s History Month well underway, one of the best ways you can celebrate women and their magical existence is to support their businesses. Does the thought of all natural, avocado-based products for curly and kinky hair sound like heaven to you? If so, Muhga Eltigani, the CEO and founder of NaturAll Club has created the products you’ve been waiting for. Starting in her college dorm room, Muhga began to make her own products out of her disappointment with the natural products on the market at the time.
Today, she’s pioneered a company that has taken the community by storm by commercially producing non-toxic, natural products, some of which contain real fruit. I recently purchased the NaturAll Club Ultimate Wash Day Bundle for Dry Hair, and thoroughly enjoyed my wash day without stripped hair and knots. The bundle included the Cleansing Avocado Shampoo, the Hydrating Avocado Conditioner, and the Avocado Deep Conditioner in one package.
The package was well put together, with a little card introducing Muhga and the company.
The Shampoo?
I live for a shampoo that doesn’t strip. The Cleansing Avocado Shampoo did a good job of removing the bit of buildup that I had without stripping my hair (which I’m always concerned about because my hair has issues with dryness anyway”>. I sectioned my hair into about eight twists and used about a quarter-sized amount of the shampoo, working it primarily onto my scalp and letting it run down my hair. It also had a really refreshing “natural” smell of an essential oil mixture.
Instead of sulfates, this cleanser boasts a gentler list of ingredients to clean including Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, derived from coconuts.
The Conditioner?
The Hydrating Avocado Conditioner, which has a similar fresh smell to the shampoo, has good slip and made detangling easier. It has a lotion-like consistency that goes on smoothly and made it possible for me to run my fingers through my hair.
In my wash-day routine, I typically use conditioner first to keep my hair as moisturized as possible. So I actually used this product before the shampoo by sectioning off my hair and applied the conditioner to detangle, then rinsed the product out with the shampoo.
This conditioner contains natural ingredients such as avocado oil, coconut oil, shea butter, and mango seed butter.
The Deep Conditioner?
If I’m being real, this was the pièce de résistance of the bundle, in my mind. I wasn’t sure how my hair was going to respond to it since the deep conditioners I’m used to are very thick and heavy, while this was rather light in comparison. But after letting it sit for about 25-30 minutes and rinsing, my hair came out feeling extremely soft and moisturized. I think the avocado in the product made a huge difference in how soft my hair was afterwards. Again, I applied the product to my hair in sections and rinsed it thoroughly while in the sections. I used one whole pack.
This deep conditioner is the real deal natural and is made with real fruit, so it’s advised that you keep it in the freezer or the refrigerator until you’re ready to use it. I kept mine in the freezer for a day and thawed it for about two hours. It has ingredients like avocados, shea butter, olive oil, and honey.
Bottom line?
The results on stretched after using the products.
Do I recommend this wash day bundle? Definitely. All of the products worked well for my hair and left it feeling moisturized, healthy, and smelling like a garden with essential oils. If you’re looking for some new products, give it a try, especially if you struggle with dryness.
The Ultimate Wash Day Bundle can be purchased on the NaturAll Club website for $43.00 for a one time purchase, and $38.70 for a subscription if you’re ready for a commitment. If bundles aren’t your thing the Cleansing Avocado Shampoo, Hydrating Avocado Conditioner, and Avocado Deep Conditioner can also be bought separately.
