With over 300 million shampoo and conditioner combinations, Function of Beauty customizes sets that are cruelty-free, sulfate-free, silicone-free, and paraben-free. They are 100% natural. There is no guess work and the user no longer has to struggle with finding the products that work best for their unique hair.
How it works
Getting started is easy. Simply complete a hair profile by answering a few questions about your hair type, its characteristics, and hair goals. Once you have completed your profile, choose a size for hair products and a name. The Function of Beauty algorithm will formulate your own personal shampoo and conditioner set and be sent to you in the mail.
How much does it cost?
You can choose between 8oz bottles or 16oz bottles. The 8oz set of shampoo and conditioner is $13 per bottle, and the 16oz set is $19 per bottle. For reference, a SheaMoisture bottle of conditioner is $10.99 for 13oz which works out to be $1.18 per ounce. A 10oz bottle of Elucence conditioner is costs $9, which is $1.11 per ounce. The 16oz Function of Beauty conditioner works out to be $1.19 per ounce, so it is very close in price to SheaMoisture and more expensive than Elucence, but not by much. You can also choose to buy the 8oz shampoo and the 160z conditioner for $32 if you (like many curlies”> use more conditioner than shampoo.

Once you feel your hair needs a change you can alter your shampoo and conditioner set by simply logging in to your account and chat with a chemist that will answer any questions you have and adjust your hair profile to fit your needs.
