We love heading off to beauty shows to get a sneak peek at the latest and greatest in beauty trends and techniques. This past weekend’s America’s Beauty Show in Chicago was no different. We sifted through the old news of feather extensions and Brazilian treatments to scoop the up and coming spring hair trends. Here’s a round up of our favorites from this year’s ABS:
Cropped Curls
Above the shoulder ringlets made a bold statement on the show floor in a variety of different styles from blunt bobs to loose, asymmetrical layers.

Undershaves
Sure, it’s an aggressive statement to make, but we love aggressive-ESPECIALLY on curlies! Undershaves, or shaving a bottom section of the head, were seen in all different textures, hues, and styles.

Coppertones
Step aside highlights, move on over balayage! Saturated, rich, all-over coppertoned hues are back in a major way as a force to be reckoned with!

Big Braids
Regal braids reigned supreme on the show floor of ABS. We loved how they were popping up in a variety of innovative placements

Vintage Waves
Evoking the soft, feminine glamour of the 1940’s and 1970’s, undulating, stylized waves were a hit on models and attendees alike.

Pin Curls for Days!
Speaking of the 1940’s, we saw pin curls EVERYWHERE, which meant everyone was trying to get a dose of traditional texture.
