If you live in the New York area, make sure to keep your Saturday weekend plans free. Curly Girl Collective is returning to host this year’s Curlfest RollerSet, a celebration of Black culture and hair featuring a dance/skate party, a Black-owned marketplace, product giveaways, and a lot more.
When is Curlfest 2022?
Curlfest RollerSet is this Saturday, September 17, at Prospect Park’s LeFrak Center in Brooklyn, NYC from 12-8 PM.
What is Curlfest?
As the largest natural beauty festival in the United States since 2014, you can expect to see thousands of attendees skating around showing off their natural textures, and vendors selling assorted beauty-related goodies (including some free samples!”>. And of course, there will be standard festival fare: NYC’s best DJs, food, dancing, and skating. Above all, Curly Girl Collective and Curlfest support and draw attention to the movement of women who are embracing their beauty and who they are, natural texture and all.
