2. Hair ties
For days when your hair is just unmanageable or it is unexpectedly needed out of your face, keeping additional hair ties on you at all times is a must. Try to stick with satin scrunchies to reduce the damage frequent ponytails can cause.

3. Travel-sized leave-in or gel
If there is one spot that is very frizzy, quickly spritz it with water and apply leave in conditioner or gel to tame the frizz. Blot dry with paper towels in the restroom or microfiber towel.
4. Your signature hair item
Whether it’s your headband or your sunglasses used as a headband, keeping your signature hair accessory is absolutely necessary. Having it with you will not only give you a sense of comfort when you step out with a new hair do that’s not your trying out but isn’t done drying, but also give you something to help revert back to a more tried and true hairstyle if that one is a flop.More: 9 Hair Accessories to Add Glam

5. A bottle of lavender-infused water
Taking a cue from the author of Curly Girl: The Handbook, Lorraine Massey, I keep a small, secure bottle of lavender infused water. Sometimes a part of my hair will not dry the right way but wetting it would dilute the product. The lavender calms the cuticle and combats frizz and the water allows the frizzy hair to reset. Mixing the lavender water with a small amount of product is optional.
6. A compact mirror
Of course–mirrors are a small comfort to have when you are going somewhere important or are trying a style you’ve never done before. A small mirror is used to make sure everything still looks as good as it did when you ventured out and left the comfort of your house twenty minutes ago. Then five minutes after that. And five after that. And after that. Point is, mirrors are very helpful if your nervous about a new hairstyle or how your hair will dry but vain people be weary.
