NaturallyCurly: When did you start embracing your curls?
Estefani: I started embracing my curls in 2007 after my last relaxer and a traumatizing salon haircut experience. Basically, I asked my hairstylist to cut my splits ends, and she ended up cutting several inches off my hair. My straightened hair was around my shoulder, so you can imagine how short my hair looked curly. Ever since then, I remember telling myself to never cut my hair in order to make sure that I retain length. I also told myself that I would no longer be relaxing my hair to prevent breakage or fallout.
