If you’re like me, then trying to lock down your nighttime routine can feel like a struggle. Between setting the alarms, doing my skincare regime, reducing my screen time before bedtime, and prepping my hair for success in the morning, it can be alot. Some nights are better than others with peak #adulting and other times I literally throw myself into my bed and forgo it all. But, we’re trying to do better in 2022 which means if I’m throwing my focus into anything, it’s reducing the amount of time I do my hair in the morning so I need to be more intentional about what I do with my hair at night. We all know the struggle that comes with bedhead, frizzy curls, and seeing your hard efforts from a wash day squashed tangled up from a night full of sleep.
Today I’m going to share a few products that I’ve incorporated into my nightly hair regime that have helped me sleep a bit more soundly and make my curls look even better the next day.
Products:
Protecting a blowout or your natural hair overnight is an important aspect of maintaining your style and texture.

My Review
You Go Natural Midnight Sleep Collection
This was my first time ever using a turban, but I was pleasantly surprised with the results! This
Pleated Sleep Turban comes in three colorways, and I loved how calming and serene the midnight blue aesthetics were. The turban fit seamlessly over my hair and did not come off during the night. The downside to me using this with a wash and go was I had to reshape my hair as it was kind of smashed from the viscose shell casing. Not the worst experience, but I did have to readjust the style so my hair volume was evenly spread out. I think I would probably have better results with a protective style where the hold and shape won’t be so intense. The additional accessories were fun and easy to keep at my bedside. I have been using silk scrunchies between wash days to keep my hair off my neck and they have been great for reducing frizz and maintaining curl patterns.
YANIBEST Satin Pillowcase for Hair and Skin Silk Pillowcase
This was my first time ever using a satin pillowcase and I honestly had mixed results. I loved the texture, color, and feel of these pillowcases, but my sleep was terrible. I don’t know if it might have been my hormones or my skin getting adjusted to the satin, but I found myself waking up sweating several times which didn’t make for a restful night. My hair looked great in the morning, but my face was tired from tossing and turning. I definitely will have to give these a try again and see if perhaps my hormones were at play because I really wanted to soak up all the satin goodness. I did love the
scrunchies that were easy to use, adjustable with my hair volume, and had a fantastic hold. I even used them when working out and they didn’t budge one bit!
YANIBEST Silk Satin Bonnet Hair Cover Sleep Cap
If you’re a furmom like me then you know that late night strolls outside for potty breaks are per the norm of our jobs. If you’ve just washed your hair or have a protective style, then heading outside with a bonnet may not be your forte, so what’s the alternative? This super stylish
satin lined beanie. I thoroughly enjoyed using this and it’s become a go-to item when I take my dog out especially because Texas has very inconsistent weather that can range from hot, cold, and rainy in the span of a day. It’s very lightweight and the satin is very soft and helpful for my curls. I look forward to seeing how this holds up during a workout.
Since I’m transitioning my hair from the super bright blonde it was to darker shades, my hair needs all the additional support it can get. I’ve always been an advocate for supplements but have never used any biotin or hair gummies because I’ve never had a reason to. In lieu of my hair damage and my desire to restore some length to my hair, I’ve been taking these
gummies to help. I love that they are a combination of hair and skin and have any suspicious or hidden ingredients. They are flavorful, tasty, and an easy addition to my night before bedtime, I can’t wait to see the results!
