There is no such thing as too much protection. This is evident with The Mane Choice’s Tropical Moringa Collection. Not only do the products aim to hydrate your hair, the ingredients are specifically designed to protect and seal your strands. Because that’s the kind of protection I need in my life, I decided to give the Sweet Oil & Honey Endless Moisture Shampoo, the Rinse Out or Leave-In Conditioner and the Endless Moisture Sealing Cream a try.
I am always looking for products that will retain as much moisture as possible during the winter months. Because this weather can be so harsh, I usually resort to protective styles so that I can shield my strands from the cold. Still, while my hair is in braids, twists, or even a hat, it is important that I feed it products that will nourish and moisturize rather than strip and break my hair.
You know the feeling you get when you sit in your stylists’ chair for a wash? You’re not sure if it’s the magic of her fingers or some divine potion being poured and rubbed through your scalp. Either way, the you walk away from the chair feeling extremely relaxed with a squeaky clean head of hair. That was my overall experience with a wash of the endless moisture shampoo. The lather stood out to me because I really felt the formula penetrate my hair.
The idea of a conditioner that could be left in or washed out worried me a bit, although I wasn’t sure why. I decided to apply the conditioner after I shampooed and let it sit for a while. About 15 minutes later, I rinsed my hair and dried it with a cotton t-shirt. The smart thing to do would’ve been to apply more conditioner so that it could also be used as a leave-in. Because I wanted to also use the Endless Moisture Sealing Cream, I decided that would take the place of my leave-in. Sometimes it can take a couple of products to manipulate your curls. I wanted to achieve protected and hydrated curls without an excess of products. If the purpose of the Tropical Moringa collection was to hydrate my hair, I felt using all 3 products would do that without me having to overwhelm my strands with conditioners.
My hair was completely soft after my shampoo and condition so I was eager to see what else was in store when it came to using the Endless Moisture Sealing Cream. I squeezed a good amount in my hands and rubbed thoroughly through my hair from roots to tip, as instructed on the bottle. I have a short cut but I felt the need to add a bit more before I roller set my hair.
As I woke up the next morning to style my hair, I did notice that I felt very soft and moisturized. The immediate results were good but by Wednesday, I felt like it was time to hide my hair under a hat until wash day. In general, this is a trend for me so I can’t blame the products, but I was hoping for something that would sustain me for a week. In hindsight, it may have been beneficial to wash the conditioner out and use it as a leave-in. Lesson learned!
Overall, I’d say Mane Choice Tropical Moringa Collection is worth trying. They have a few more products that may address your specific hair needs. Now that I have the shampoo, conditioner and sealing cream, I’m going to try the Restorative Spray, the Pearly Braid Out Glaze and the Moisture Mask. What do you think?
