The 2024 Olympics are in full swing in the beautiful city of Paris, France, and athletes, celebrities, and festival-goers are showing up and showing out. Paris is known for its food, fashion, and art, and we’re seeing that happen in real-time as attendees show up in the chicest fits and ornate hairstyles. The Opening Ceremony was hosted on Friday, July 26, 2024, with performances, celebrity sightings, fireworks, and a spectacular light show.

The day was full of fashion courtesy of Ralph Lauren and showstopping appearances from celebrities touching down to support their favorite athletes in Paris. Instead of the traditional global processional around a stadium, the city of lights showcased over 10,500 athletes on boats cruising through scenic Parisian bridges and landmarks. An array of athletes could be seen joyously waving flags along the Seine and sporting an array of chic blazers, berets, and clear ponchos to keep the rainy weather at bay.
If you missed out on any looks from the Opening Ceremony, check out these head-turning curls, coils, waves, and braids on full display on land and in the Seine.
