‘Tis the season! And, as you prepare for a cold winter holiday, or a busy rush of friends and family or, even a relaxing vacation on the beach, chances are you’re time may be a bit limited. That’s why having a little “must have” kit for your curls can always be helpful. Picking out your favorite products may be a bit difficult, especially if you’re limited to just five. However, once you have your must haves kit together, you’ll see just how much time you can save.
Every curly varies in curl type, so finding the right product may take some experimenting at first. Here are a few suggestions to pick from for your top five:
The Must Haves List
The Styler
It may be a gel or mousse, even a creme or combo- but a good styling product is a must for well defined, manicured curls. If you’re used to combing products, try out one at a time and see if just ONE certain gel or lotion works best for you. It may be easier to find that one and keep it handy , rather than continually experimenting with a basket, or closet, full of products. Some recommendations: Ouidad Climate Control Gel, Jessicurl Styling Gel, As I Am Cleansing Pudding, Curl Junkie Pattern Pusha Gel, Curl Junkie Coco Creme Light, Curl Keeper.
Clips and Scarves
Having a few good clips (for your hair length and type”> and 2 or 3 good silk or cotton scarves on hand is always helpful. Use them to help keep fly aways at bay, tame frizz or cover your hair as you walk to work, or hop on a train. It may be helpful to keep a few clips with you in your bag, at work or in the car. You can always wear a scarf around your hair then around your neck, later on.
Keeping your must haves in one location at home will make the holidays this season a bit less stressful, and easier on your curls.
