Even though our schedules are hectic, we still have to squeeze in a work out. Whether if we enjoy running on a trail or taking a Zumba class at your local gym, physical activity is great to maintain a healthy body and can also help with healthy curls. It can be tough to manage your hair while working out, however, these sweat proof hairstyles can help you focus more on your workout and less on your hair.
High Bun
Buns are easy to create and won’t take much time. There are also different ways that you can wear your bun so you won’t get as bored with your work out look. High buns and lows buns are simple and can help keep your hair away from your face, which is necessary especially when you start to sweat. You won’t have to worry too much about frizz or poufy hair because it’s all tied back.
Side Braid
A classic hairstyle that doesn’t have to be boring. If you prefer to wear your hair in ponytails during the daily workouts, it may be best to invest in satin hair scrunchies. Dress it up with beautiful flowers of the season for a night out.
Tapered TWA
If you have a TWA or growing your hair out from one, you can still have different options for styling your hair. Grab your favorite bright scarf and tie your hair up. There are many YouTube tutorials that have unique ways to tie your scarf. You can also grab your favorite hairbands/sweat bands to help prevent frizzy hair from your work out. Or, you can wear your hair as it is. Just cleanse your scalp from sweating. You don’t have to shampoo your hair every day in order to clean your scalp. Try to co-wash your hair a few times a week before washday.
Weave/Extensions
Consider adding weave or clip-ins for a temporary long hair don’t care moment. But remember, just because you decide to wear a weave, it doesn’t mean that your not supposed to take care of your own hair. Use a cotton ball with astringent to clean the scalp to avoid bacteria and odor. Shampoo hair weekly to remove dirt and oil from sweating.
