How to Master a Wash and Go
For 3b to 4a curls
- Start with clean hair using either a moisturizing shampoo or co-wash. Don’t forget to use a good conditioner!
- Apply a cream to help smooth and define your curls while hair is still soaking wet. This will also help to eliminate frizz.
- Flip your hair over and gently shake your tresses to separate your curls and add volume and allow to air dry. You can also try plopping or using a diffuser at the roots of your hair on a low speed and low temperature. For maximum volume, diffuse at your roots while your hair is flipped over.
- Once your hair is about half dry, lightly coat your hands in a curl defining gel or pudding. Concentrating on the top layers of your hair, and wherever you have the most problems with dryness and frizz, twirl individual curls around your fingers in order to define their shape.
- Finish with your favorite hair spray, and you and your beautiful curls are good to go!
