Since its inception in 2009, the No Shave November challenge has remained constant. Created to help raise awareness for men’s health about certain diseases like cancer, which causes patients to lose hair, it involves participants (primarily men) forgoing shaving and instead leaving their hair and beards to grow out. The idea is to donate the money that would have been spent buying shaving kits and grooming oneself to save the lives of those battling cancer.
In the No Shave November challenge, there is only one rule: grow out your hair, including a full beard, a mustache, armpit hair, or even an Afro on your head. This challenge gained the involvement of men around the globe, including celebrities. It doesn’t matter whether you grow out a full beard or a tiny mustache; the most important thing is to remember the essence of the challenge, which is to spread awareness for men’s health.
